Position: Electrical Appliance Installer
Wage: C$ 21.00 Per hour, 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week
Term: Full-time, Permanent
Language: English
Work Location: 600 Bedford Hwy, Halifax, NS B3M 2L8.
Duties:
· Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical instructions to determine appliance placement and installation procedures.
· Measure and mark reference points and guidelines for installation.
· Install a variety of electrical appliances, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, and air conditioning units.
· Connect electrical appliances to power supplies, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
· Test installed appliances to confirm proper functionality and troubleshoot any issues.
· Diagnose electrical or mechanical faults and conduct necessary repairs or adjustments.
· Work alongside construction teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical appliances within new and existing structures.
· Ensure compliance with all safety and building regulations while handling and installing appliances.
Skill requirement:
· On-the-job training is required.
· Several months of experience in installation, repair, or maintenance is preferred.
· Completion of a secondary school education.
