Position: Truck and Transport Mechanic

Wage: $34 per hour (Paid Bi-Weekly)

Work Hours: 40.00 hours per week (Full-time, Permanent)

Benefits: Vacation pay 4% of gross salary, Health Care Plan

Main Job Duties

·        Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills

·        Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems

·        Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems

·        Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions

·        Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit

·        Repair or replace mechanical units or components

·        Test and adjust units to specifications

·         Complete reports to record problems and work performed

Additional Skills

·         Estimate parts and labor costs

·         Coach and instruct apprentices

·         Provide customer service

·        Requirements

Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and attention to detail.
Fluent in English
