Sun Sushi Inc. (XL Food Inc.), St. John’s, NL. is searching for competent Assistant Cook for our restaurant.

 

Job Requirements:

·         Completion of secondary education is required

·         Previous experience will be a great asset

·         Able to stand for extended hours

 

Position:                                Assistant Cook

Wage:                                    C$14.50 Per hour

Working Hours:                   35 hours working / week

Benefit:                                 4% of gross salary

Terms of Employment:       Full-time, Permanent

Work Location:                    267 Torbay Rd St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador A1A 4A2

Language:                              English

 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sushi ingredients and set up workstations to prepare food to order

• Prepare, serve, and keep food safe and hygienic

• Assist chefs in ordering ingredients that are in short supply in the warehouse

• Clean work surfaces at the end of the day and checks appliances such as refrigerators to ensure they are turned off

• Store leftover ingredients, paying attention to expiration dates

• Maintain pantry food counts and stock counts

• Other duties assigned by the head chef
