Sushi shokunin Inc., St. John’s, NL is hiring an experienced Assistant Cook.

Position: Assistant Cook

Wage: C$14.50 per hour

Working Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours/week

Vacation Pay: 4% vacation pay of each gross payroll

Term of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Work Location: 193 Kenmount Road St. John’s, NL A1B 3P9

Language: English

Job Requirements:

–          Six months of related work experience an assistant cook experience is required

–          Completion of Secondary School is required.

Duties:

·         Prepare ingredients (e.g.: salmon, tuna, eel, etc.)

·         Prepare sushi and other dishes (the restaurant menu)

·         Assist the chef in preparing, serving, and cleaning up the after-dinner area

·         Shredding, peeling, cutting, and storing supplies

·         Unpack and organize food

·         Cleaning workstations, appliances, and kitchen utensils

·         Remove trash and clean kitchen waste containers

·         Clean kitchen floors and assist cooks and kitchen staff
