From our earliest program offerings in Interior Design, the Academy has grown to become the pre-eminent private design school in Victoria. The Pacific Design Academy is a Designated college with the Private Training Institutions Branch of the BC Ministry of Advanced Education. Pacific Design Academy is seeking an experienced and talented Vice College President to join our team in Victoria, BC.
Position: Vice College President
Wage: C$ 40.00 to 50.00 hourly (to be negotiated)
Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours working / week (to be negotiated)
Vacation Pay: 4% of gross salary
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Job duties:
1. Establish Clear Objectives and Strategic Initiatives:
· Develop long-term strategic plans that align with the academy’s mission and vision.
· Monitor industry trends and educational advancements to adapt and innovate curriculum offerings.
2. Policy Formulation and Program Development:
· Lead the development and approval of policies and programs that elevate academic standards and operational efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
· Foster a culture of continuous improvement through feedback mechanisms and program evaluation.
3. Resource Allocation and Financial Oversight:
· Strategically allocate material, human, and financial resources to support academic and operational goals.
· Establish and maintain financial controls to safeguard institutional assets and ensure sustainability.
· Optimize resource utilization to maximize educational outcomes and student satisfaction.
4. Leadership and Team Management:
· Recruit, select, and mentor middle managers and senior staff members.
· Provide leadership and guidance to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
· Conduct performance evaluations and professional development planning for direct reports.
5. Departmental Coordination and Collaboration:
· Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to enhance organizational coherence.
· Implement cross-functional initiatives that support interdisciplinary learning and growth.
· Resolve interdepartmental conflicts and promote a unified approach to achieving institutional goals.
6. Additional Responsibilities:
· Undertake special projects and initiatives as assigned by the President to support strategic objectives.
· Represent the academy at external events, conferences, and professional associations to enhance its reputation and visibility.
· Serve as an ambassador for Pacific Design Academy in fostering partnerships with industry stakeholders, alumni, and the broader community.
Requirements:
• A university degree or college diploma in business administration, education administration, or a related field.
• More than 3 years of progressive experience in senior management roles within an educational institution or a similar organization.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills with a proven track record of implementing successful initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders both internally and externally.
