Vacancy Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
Wage: C$ 20.00-23.00 / Hour
Working Hours: 35 hours/week
Terms of Employment: Full-time and Permanent
Vacation Pay: 4% vacation pay
Work Location: 12033 Riverside Way #101, Richmond, BC V6W 1K6
Requirements:
Education: Secondary school or above is required.
Experience: 3 months relevant experience is required
Credential: Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Assistant Certificate is required Language: English is required
Job Duties:
• Assist ECEs in promoting children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
· Prepare snacks and set up rooms for lunch and rest times.
· Encourage good eating, clothing, and bathroom habits.
· Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
· Maintain childcare equipment and help with housekeeping and cooking.
· Submit written observations of children to early childhood instructors or supervisors.
· May help early childhood instructors keep records.
· Attend staff meetings to discuss children’s development and challenges.
